Bring a large pan of salted water to the boil, add the linguini and cook according to packet instructions until al dente.
Meanwhile, heat a large frying pan over a medium heat and add a generous amount of olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced garlic and fry for a couple of minutes until golden brown.
Add the tomatoes and cook for 4-5 minutes until softened. Season with a good pinch of salt and pepper.
