Beef & Mushroom Wontons W/ Chilli Oil Sauce

Ingredients

Dumping filling:

400g Beef mince
2 Spring onion, finely chopped
4 Chestnut mushrooms, finely chopped
3 Garlic cloves, minced
1 inch Ginger, minced
1 tsp Sugar
2 tbsp Light soy sauce
1/2 tbsp Sesame oil
1/2 tbsp Rice wine vinegar

Wrappers:

30-40 Wonton wrappers

For the sauce:

3 tbsp Chili oil
50ml Light soy sauce
1 tbsp Rice wine vinegar

Instructions

Cooking mode

  1. Place all the dumpling filling ingredients in a bowl and combine.
  2. Place your wonton wrappers on a clean surface and add a heaped tsp of the filling into the centre of each wrapper.
  3. Brush the edges with water. Then cup the wonton and scrunch up at the top, pinching and sealing to form a comet-like shape.
  4. Repeat and set aside under a damp cloth.
  5. Get a pan of boiling water on the boil and then simmer the dumplings for 7-8 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile combine the sauce ingredients in a bowl.
  7. When the dumps are cooked, scoop them out and place them in a bowl, drown in the sauce and top with more spring onions.
  8. Enjoy!!
