Tofu Lemongrass Meatballs

Ingredients

450 gr Firm tofu
1 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Onion powder
1 tbsp Sesame oil
2 tbsp Dark soy sauce
1 tbsp Lemongrass paste
1/4 cup Chives, chopped
1/4 cup Thai basil, chopped
2 tbsp Tomato paste
3 tbsp Flour

Sauce:

1/4 cup Soy sauce
3 tbsp Maple syrup
2 tbsp Rice vinegar
1 tbsp Sesame oil
1 tbsp Tomato paste
2 Shallot, diced
3 Garlic cloves, minced

Instructions

Cooking mode

  1. 1. Crumble your tofu and add the rest of the ingredients. Mix well and kneed with your hands. Take about 2 tbsp of the mixture and press firmly into balls.
  2. 2. Preheat your oven to 200 celsius. Add the tofu balls to a lined baking tray and bake in the oven for 25 minutes. Flipping them halfway through.
  3. 3. Meanwhile sauté the garlic & shallot for 30 seconds in a bit of oil. Add the sauce and let it cook down for 2 minutes.
  4. 4. Add the tofu balls and cook for another minute.
  5. 5. Serve with rice, steamed veggies & ENJOY!
